Guided by our visionary founders Tom and Cindy Albrecht since 1976 until their retirement, the Hilltop Construction team is committed to delivering exceptional construction services for residential and commercial ventures. THOMAS GEORGE ALBRECHT, JR.

Vice President of Residential Operations

Tom Jr. graduated from Hudson Falls High School and continued to further his education at SUNY Adirondack pursuing a degree in Architecture. He realized the classroom was not for him and joined the family business in 1999.


After 4 years of training under Hilltop’s top foremen, Tom Jr. was promoted to foreman and started running his own crew. 14 years later, Tom Jr. transitioned to project manager, learning to bid projects, track job cost, etc. Learning from the ground up is what has made Tom Jr. grow personally and professionally.


Tom Jr. and Dan Washburn (brother-in-law) began running the day-to-day operations of scheduling jobs, employees, and bidding in 2012. From that point on the company doubled in size to where it is today. We now employee over 35 full-time employees year round and work in the Residential and Commercial markets. Tom runs the Residential division, remodels amd new construction projects.


In 2004, Tom Jr. married Rebecca DeVit and they have three children, Emma, Noah, and Lyla. They like to travel, especially to Disney World and spends time routing for the Boston Bruins.

APRIL WASHBURN

Owner / Treasurer

April is a principle owner of Hilltop Construction and helps to keep the office organized and running smooth since 2004. She handles the day to day operations, from phone calls, emails, human resources, accounting and much more.


April currently serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks, and The Food For Thought board. Previously, she was co-chair of the local C.R.O.P walk for many years raising money for the hungry, served on the board of St. Joseph’s House of Grace, and volunteered with her church on many events. She also is a wedding/party coordinator in her spare time.


April & Dan Washburn married right out of high school and never looked back. They have raised two amazing children, Mikayla who graduates UCONN in 2024 and will attend LMU Veterinary College in the Fall and Cameron who attends SUNY Brockport pursuing an environmental science degree. Together they enjoy traveling, snowmobiling and simply being together.

DANIEL W. WASHBURN

Vice President of Commercial Operations

Dan is a principle owner of Hilltop Construction. He started working construction during the summer of 1995 where he found a passion for the building industry. That passion led him to Hilltop Construction in 1998. He moved to Central Ohio in 1999 and pursued a carrier in HVAC. This is where he developed his love for commercial work. Upon moving back home to raise his family, he become a principle owner at Hilltop Construction in 2006, and helped guide the company in a direction that would target more commercial projects. To date, Dan has managed many commercial projects including over 120 projects for Stewarts Shops.


Aside from work, he enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart and wife of 25 years, April and their two children Mikayla who attends the University of Connecticut & Cameron who attends SUNY Brockport. He is currently a board member for the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce, Councilman for the Town of Kingsbury and a commissioner at the Washington County Sewer department. He was the past President of the Hudson Falls Girls softball organization from 2009- 2014. Dan & his wife April also have a small Black Angus Cattle Farm, KayCam Farm.
